Businesses want to help. Nonprofits need help. Too often, they never find each other.

Nonprofits spend hours looking for the right contact instead of serving their community. Businesses are asked for help all the time, but seldom by causes that fit their people or their skills. And when they do come together, no one keeps a record, so the good work goes unseen and the partnership ends after one event.

Make an Impact closes those three gaps:

  • A trusted introduction.

Your chamber knows its members and its community, so every introduction comes from someone you know.

  • Follow-through.

Partners stay in touch, log what they do, and keep going.

  • A record you can share.

Every hour and every contribution is confirmed by both sides, so you can see the good you do, and show it.

There's a place here for you.

Three steps, from need to impact.

  1. 01 · Need

A nonprofit shares what it needs: volunteers, skilled help, in-kind support, sponsorship or a board seat.

  2. 02 · Introduction

The chamber's coordinator introduces a business that fits. The business decides whether to say yes, so no one is cold-called.

  3. 03 · Impact

The partners work together and log what they did. The other side confirms it, and it becomes part of the record.

Only what both partners confirm.

Every entry is confirmed by the other partner before it counts. Volunteer hours are valued at the published Independent Sector rate for that year and state. In-kind help is valued at the amount the business reports and the nonprofit confirms. Make an Impact never handles money. Cash a business gives directly is counted only once the other partner confirms it, and shown on its own.

It started with one business saying yes.

Make an Impact began with a simple idea from a local chamber member: the businesses and nonprofits in our community should be able to find each other, work together, and see what they accomplish.

Patchnet AI is leading the effort. It designed and built Make an Impact and runs it as a volunteer project, making it the first business to put its time into this community, before a single introduction was made.
